Aya Fujioka
rinory was founded by Aya Fujioka, a mother and designer who wanted to bring a touch of softness and poetry to children’s fashion.
The journey began with a traditional Japanese celebration called Shichi-Go-San (“Seven-Five-Three”), a joyful event that honors children as they grow at ages three, five, and seven. On this special day, children often wear kimono passed down through generations.
When Aya’s daughter celebrated her own Shichi-Go-San, Aya wished for her to wear the classical kimono she herself once wore — but in a way that felt gentle, stylish, and unique. Out of this wish, she created a small hifu-apron, which became the very first step of rinory.
Guided by the idea of “a little stylish, just for me,” every piece is lovingly handmade. Over time, rinory has collaborated with many photographers, joined boutique shops in Japan, and grown into a brand that cherishes the meeting point between tradition and imagination.
